Is the Gospel as taught by the apostles just as true today, or does Christianity need an update? This is the question addressed by a book released this month, titled Another Gospel?, written by Alisa Childers. The subtitle reads, "A lifelong Christian seeks truth in response to progressive Christianity." I first learned about Alisa Childers when I listened to her speak on The One Minute Apologist Podcast. I enjoyed listening to her and decided I would buy her book as soon as it became … [Read more...] about Book Review of “Another Gospel?” by Alisa Childers

Three Book Reviews: God’s Hostage; A Hobbit, A Wardrobe, and a Great War; and My Name is Tani
Lately I've been listening to audio books a lot. There were several I really enjoyed, so I decided to write a review about each of these three books: God's Hostage; A Hobbit, A Wardrobe, and a Great War; and My Name is Tani. All are non-fiction and published by Christian publishers. Writing about an audio book is trickier than writing about a book when you have a paper copy in your hands. Stanton, is a researcher, columnist, lecturer, and debater, and directs the Global Family Formation Studies at Focus on the Family. He makes his living doing research … [Read more...] about Book Review: The Myth of the Dying Church by Glenn T. Stanton
The Bookworm Frolic
I love to read, but with getting my blog started and going to Alaska, I haven't gone to the library often or read much this summer. That's going to change now, since I went to the Bookworm Frolic Book Sale tonight. The Bookworm Frolic is a fundraiser for the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society. The books are collected throughout the year (people donate them) and then the book sale is held outside under a huge tent every August. Books are arranged on tables and grouped according to … [Read more...] about The Bookworm Frolic
